Linux Commands Cheat Sheet

Linux has been around since the mid-1990s and has since reached a user-base that spans the globe.  Just like Windows, iOS, and Mac OS, Linux is an operating system. In fact, one of the most popular platforms on the planet, Android, is powered by the Linux operating system. Linux is actually everywhere: It is in your phones, your thermostats, in your cars, refrigerators, Roku devices, and televisions. It also runs most of the Internet, all of the world’s top 500 supercomputers, and the world’s stock exchanges.

A shell is a program that receives commands from the user and gives it to the OS to process, and it shows the output. Linux's shell is its main part. Its distros come in GUI (graphical user interface), but basically, Linux has a CLI (command line interface).

With new Linux distributions, there are chances of a few commands getting deprecated. Make sure you keep up with the new releases, their new additions, and commands which are rendered deprecated.
